Lucija was born and lived in Zagreb until the age of seven when she moved with her family to Austria.

After finishing her studies in architecture at the University of Edinburgh, Lucija decided to go to Prague and pursue her long-standing interest in film. Attending a practical film production course, Lucija wrote and directed a number of short films, one of which ('Sem Tam') was screened at the > Ohne Kohle Film Festival in both Vienna and Mainz.

In 2006, Lucija set up the company > Noctiluca Media Production GmbH in Vienna. The company focuses on creative media for the architectural industry and after Riba Ribi Grize Rep, plans to support production for further documentary films.
